Long time no talk.
I've been quite busy with other projects lately, but in the meantime loudtwitter quietly and largely past the 1000 user count. In fact, as of today there are 1300 registered users. YAY!
I didn't expect that much interest - especially from LJ community when I started this little project for a friend, but I'm glad loudtwitter makes your life easier. I have to apologize for being slow on adding features despite many requests. There are two reasons for that: I'm very busy with my $dayjob and I don't use Loudtwitter myself. So it's hard to make the decision to add a feature or not: is it really useful? Is it worth my time?
Anyway, I've just added the ability to add text *before* the post in addition to *after*. Among other things it will allow LJ users to use the LJ-cut feature that popefelix described to me.
And in case you missed it, loudtwitter suffered from a large spam attack two days ago, so email posting was down for a while. I hate spammers.
I have it set up to email post, but was wondering why it didn't yesterday. Did daylight savings in the UK mess it up? I did have tweets.
PS: Great service btw.

I've signed up since more than a week ago and followed all the instructions, but none of the twits shipped to my Vox. Please help. Thanks.

Thanks for your job. Loud tweet is really helpful.
Thanks again and I send you my best energy to keep working on it.

Ok, I'm also having trouble with my livejornal account. I signed up for it, and have had it set for a couple days, and it hasn't worked. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if anything. Help!

I am trying to redirect my twitters from my main livejournal to a dedicated twitter livejournal. Your menu has an option of changing which twitter account I follow. It would be great if it included an option of change the destination blog or site.

The easy way to redirect my tweets to a different blog? I deleted my loudtwitter account, and created a new one. A good work around until your menu expands.

Great service but like the others, I'm not seeing my Tweets delivered to my LJ
Posted by: matt | April 09, 2008 at 05:19 PM
Still doesn't work. Can you help troubleshoot?
Posted by: matt | April 10, 2008 at 11:16 AM
Are you planning to update your privacy policy? What's to stop someone associate with you from stealing passwords and then having unauthorized access to a user's blog? How do you ensure peace of mind for those folks using your service?

I've mentioned it before, but I'd really happy if we were allowed to use private Twitter accounts on LoudTwitter. There's been a rise in spam lately and a lot of people don't want to keep their Twitter public.
BTW, your site says LoudTwitter should work with self-hosted Wordpress accounts, but hasn't been tested yet. Well, I can tell you that it works because that's how I use it. ;)

I set up loudtwitter for the first time yesterday to post at midnight and did a handful of twitter updates. They didn't get posted to livejournal. Is there any way of telling what might be wrong - eg have I set something up wrong, is loudtwitter not working generally, or does it randomly fail sometimes?

Hi all,
Sorry about the issues with LJ. I have the feeling that something changed in LJ lately, could you try with the email posting feature instead.
Unfortunately I have very little time to investigate the issue but I'll as soon as I get to it...

hi. my twitters are not posting to my blog. i set up my account yesterday afternoon and i posted several tweets yesterday. the settigns page said that my tweets would post when i said they would. but i checked after that time and they didn't post.
i use wordpress.com
Posted by: alexis Lozano | May 09, 2008 at 03:50 AM
my tweets have totally stopped showing on my blog since may 9... is there a particular reason; other than those bloody spammers who messed you up? is there anything i should be doing?
Posted by: karen | May 15, 2008 at 07:10 AM
It would be great in the future if a person could choose between a Daily post and a Weekly post. Some people are finding the Daily a bit overwhelming for their journals. Just a thought. Great work so far.

Signed up for LoudTwitter yesterday. How come everyone ELSE gets their tweets shipped to THEIR LJs? Unimpressed. May go to competition if this isn't solved.
Posted by: boa | May 22, 2008 at 05:47 AM
Thank you for COOL SERVICE! :)
Is it possible to export Tweets in LJ, as FriendsOnly?
Posted by: Shmuel Sominski | May 22, 2008 at 08:41 AM
@boa> I'm not doing loudtwitter to impress noone. Go to the competition if you like... Another option is to try email posting to your LJ, until I have time to investigate what LJ changed with the atom endpoint.
@shmuel> yes if your twitter is public you can probably set-up email posting on LJ to be twitter, it's possible on Vox at least
@karen> thanks for the suggestion, I'll try!
@phi> Is it still an issue? it looks like decoding problems on the receiving side.

I love the idea of loudtwitter, but I've tried to sign up several times this week and get only "We're sorry something unexpected happened..." I hope it comes back!
Posted by: eric | May 28, 2008 at 10:28 AM
Wondering if there's a way, since you need my LJ password, to set my ships to "friends-only". I have to go back manually and do it myself, and that's just a little bit of a pain, especially since I tend to twitter when I won't be at my computer for a good bit of time.
Posted by: BoA | May 31, 2008 at 02:29 PM
I wouldn't do anything to impress Peter Noone either, Loudtwitter. ;) (Hint: no one is two words.)
Posted by: boa | May 31, 2008 at 02:30 PM
Hi, I just signed up, and I've been trying to get it to work for a long time now, but its not posting to my LJ.
I cant figure out why not :(
Posted by: guruubii | June 03, 2008 at 08:05 PM
I signed up with loudtwitter a few days ago, and set my twitters to be sent to my LJ, but nothing is being sent. I keep coming up with the same message: "Your next tweets are scheduled to be shipped to your blog anytime soon... contact us if something looks wrong" This is the same message that has been showing up the past couple days when I sign into loudtwitter. Is there something I've missed with the setup? Or is it a different problem? Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Isn't there an option on Twitter where you can choose how many tweets per day get submitted to your LJ? I saw it once and now can't seem to find it. Thanks!
